We don't just lay asphalt — we build it to outlast Georgia weather.

Why Biran Paving

Asphalt built to outlast Georgia weather

Over 15+ years and 500+ completed projects, we have learned that great paving is mostly about the things you cannot see once the job is done: the base preparation, the drainage, the compaction, and the honesty to tell a client when an expensive option is not the right one. Georgia's climate is hard on asphalt. The heat, humidity, heavy rain, and seasonal freeze-thaw cycles will find every shortcut a contractor takes. We build with that reality in mind so your driveway or parking lot holds up year after year instead of failing the moment the warranty talk ends.

  • 15+ Years of Experience. Founded and led by Ben Biran, Biran Paving Group brings more than 15 years of hands-on asphalt experience to every Metro Atlanta project. We have seen how Georgia heat, humidity, and clay soils punish poorly built pavement, and we build to outlast it.
  • 500+ Projects Completed. From small residential driveways to large commercial parking lots, we have completed 500+ paving projects across the Atlanta metro. That volume means tighter estimates, smoother scheduling, and crews who have solved your problem before.
  • Licensed & Insured. Biran Paving Group LLC is licensed and insured. A certificate of insurance (COI) is available on request, which matters when property managers, HOAs, and facility owners need to vet a contractor before work begins.
  • Built for Atlanta Weather. We engineer base depth, drainage, and mix selection around Georgia's freeze-thaw swings, summer heat, and heavy rain so your asphalt resists cracking, raveling, and standing water year after year.
More About Us
The Biran Standard

No surprises, no pressure — just honest paving

Free On-Site Estimates, No Obligation

Every estimate starts with us coming to your Metro Atlanta property to measure, inspect the pavement, and understand your goals. There is no charge, no pressure, and no obligation to move forward. You get real numbers based on your actual site, not a generic per-square-foot guess over the phone.

Written, Itemized Quotes

You receive a clear, written quote that itemizes the scope of work, materials, and approach, so you know exactly what you are paying for and why. No vague lump sums and no surprise line items added after the work begins. Property managers can take our quote straight to ownership or a board for approval.

Licensed & Insured, COI on Request

Biran Paving Group LLC is licensed and insured. We provide a certificate of insurance (COI) on request, so property managers, HOAs, and facility owners can vet us before we ever set foot on site. Hiring an uninsured operator is a risk we make easy to avoid.

Honest Assessment, No Upselling

We tell you the truth about what your pavement actually needs. If a crack seal will do the job, we will not sell you a resurface. If your base has failed, we will not paper over it with an overlay that cracks in a year. Our recommendation is the one that protects your investment, not the one with the biggest invoice.

Prompt Response, Clear Communication

As a local, owner-led company based in Dunwoody, we are easy to reach and quick to respond. We answer your questions, return your calls, and keep you updated from estimate through final walkthrough. Reach us Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 6:30pm, at (678) 332-8941.

Clean Jobsite & Final Walkthrough

We treat your property like our own: we protect surrounding areas, keep the site orderly during the work, and clean up when we are done. Before we call a job finished, we walk the completed work with you to confirm it meets our standard and yours, and we give you clear guidance on cure times and traffic.

Our Work

The kind of work we do

Recent commercial asphalt work across Metro Atlanta.

Mill & Pave / Asphalt Overlay · Sandy Springs

Retail Center Parking Lot Resurfacing in Sandy Springs

The center gets a smooth, uniform, like-new surface for a fraction of the cost of full reconstruction, with markings restriped clean and ADA-compliant. A resurface like this typically wraps in a matter of days, refreshes the property's curb appeal immediately, and is the kind of high-value, low-disruption work that is right when the base is sound.

Residential Asphalt Driveways · Buckhead

Residential Asphalt Driveway Replacement in Buckhead

The home gets a smooth, even driveway with crisp edges and proper drainage, a finish built to hold up for the long haul and add real curb appeal. Because the base and grading are done right from the start, the surface resists the early cracking and edge failure that plague driveways installed over poor prep.

Asphalt Maintenance Programs · Alpharetta

HOA Crack Sealing & Sealcoating Maintenance Cycle in Alpharetta

The association turns unpredictable emergency repairs into a planned, budgetable line item and protects pavement that, properly maintained, commonly lasts 20+ years. Early, scheduled crack sealing and sealcoating is one of the highest-return moves an HOA can make, extending the life of the asphalt and keeping the community looking sharp.

Line Striping & Pavement Markings · Dunwoody

Office Park Parking Lot Striping & ADA Markings in Dunwoody

The property comes away with sharp, code-compliant markings that improve traffic flow, support ADA accessibility, and reduce liability for the owner. When paired with sealcoating, a clean restripe can make an aging lot look years newer in a single visit, which is one of the fastest, most affordable ways to refresh a tired commercial property.

Asphalt paving FAQs

Asphalt cost depends on several factors: the size and shape of the area, the current condition and what prep or excavation is needed, the asphalt thickness required for your traffic loads, drainage and grading work, and current material prices. A small residential driveway and a large commercial parking lot are very different projects. The most reliable way to get an accurate number is a free on-site estimate, where we measure the area and assess conditions so the price reflects your actual project rather than a generic per-square-foot guess. Call us at (678) 332-8941 to schedule one.
In Georgia's climate, most asphalt benefits from sealcoating roughly every 2 to 4 years, with the exact timing depending on traffic volume, sun exposure, and the condition of the surface. A high-traffic commercial lot in full sun may need it on the shorter end of that range, while a lightly used, shaded driveway can go longer. Sealcoating protects asphalt from UV, water, oil, and oxidation, the things that age it fastest, so a sensible sealcoating cycle is one of the cheapest ways to extend pavement life. We can assess your surface and recommend a schedule that makes sense.
Resurfacing, also called an overlay or mill-and-pave, lays a new layer of asphalt over the existing pavement, sometimes after milling off the worn top layer. It works well and saves significant money when the base underneath is still structurally sound and only the surface has worn or cracked. Full paving or replacement removes the failed pavement entirely and rebuilds it, which is the right call when the base itself has failed, because an overlay over a bad base will simply crack again. We always evaluate your base first and give you an honest recommendation on which approach is the smart spend for your property.
You can typically drive on new asphalt within 24 to 72 hours, but asphalt continues to cure and harden for several months as the oils in the mix oxidize. During the first few weeks, especially in Atlanta's summer heat, the surface stays soft and can scuff or dent, so we recommend avoiding sharp turns, parked-in-place heavy loads, and turning your wheels while stopped. We give you specific guidance on cure times and traffic at the final walkthrough, since timing varies with temperature, thickness, and weather.
A properly built and maintained asphalt surface commonly lasts 20+ years, while neglected pavement can fail in roughly half that time. The two biggest factors are the quality of the original installation (base preparation, drainage, and compaction) and whether the surface is maintained with crack sealing, sealcoating, and timely repairs. Maintenance is what separates pavement that lasts decades from pavement that needs early reconstruction, which is why we offer ongoing maintenance programs in addition to installation.
No. Asphalt is temperature sensitive, both the air temperature and the surface temperature matter. Hot-mix asphalt needs to be placed and compacted while it is hot, so cold weather, rain, and frozen or wet ground can compromise the result. In Metro Atlanta the season is long, but we still schedule paving for suitable weather windows and will reschedule rather than place asphalt in conditions that would shorten its life. Some repairs and maintenance tasks have more flexibility than full paving; we will let you know what is realistic for your timeline.
